WTF is Radical Wellness?
I define radical wellness as the state of thriving by unlearning societal ideas that no longer serve, and designing an authentic lifestyle centered on intention, alignment, and abundance.

First Things First
Let me preface by saying that designing and curating an abundant lifestyle is spiritual work. Until recently, I used to feel like me and the majority of people around me were thinking and behaving in unconscious ways simply because it was normal to do so and others were doing it, or because we were conditioned to accept those ways and afraid to find what truly works for us. Thankfully, I've done and am doing the continued internal work, and I'm finally starting to come into my tribe, or the people who think and live like me; freely, radically, and intentionally.
Before You Trip
There's nothing wrong with accepting and subscribing to traditional norms if they truly serve you, and you are growing as an individual who can leave this world better than you found it. It's exhausting just thinking about how so many people accept and perpetuate some of these oppressive and patriarchal ideologies. In any event, I will continue to do what truly brings me abundance and hope others do the same as opposed to remaining stagnant solely because it's familiar and requires less inward reflection.
What Time I'm On
Let's get right into some of the radical wellness experiences that reflect my everyday life:
Remove Expectations: Stop expecting people to be a certain way for you. People are free to and will do what they want, and that often has nothing to do with you.
Tantric Sex: Intercourse is an energetic exchange, period. Be mindful of who you're swapping traumas with. At this point, I only entertain energy that has proven to be holistically healthy and spiritually empowering for me. This energy is consistent and intentional. The sacral power in this pussy is not for the spiritually weak.
Reduce Possessions: A lot of people will scroll past this one. When you get rid of things and the meanings behind those things, you start to be mindful of what's important. Start asking yourself, "when is the last time I used this and would I be good without it?", then adjust accordingly.
Radical Acceptance: This looks like completely and unapologetically loving yourself and accepting situations, things, and people for what they are in the present moment, no matter how you feel.
Reduce Carbon Footprint: Greta been told us what time it was. It's simple, try to be as sustainable as possible. You can start at home by recycling, composting, and buying locally-grown foods. Show some respect to mother nature and all the living creatures that work together to maintain the ecosystem that you so happily take advantage of.
Unsubscribe from Patriarchy: The fact that I have to even say this in 2021 is mind-boggling, but here it is, "dead that imperialist white-supremacist capitalist patriarchy that ya'll so-called unknowingly subscribe to. That system of oppression only helps yt people and will forever keep BIPOCs oppressed and as second and third-class citizens.
Spatial Health: This is a highly requested topic and I can't wait to get into it. This form of wellness is concerned with not only feng shui and how we design and curate our physical environment, but also the people, things, and energy of those environments.
Breath Work: Deep breathing and equanimity saved my life. I used to experience debilitating panic attacks until I learned how to control my breathing and thoughts. The benefits of meditation and breath work are widespread. Controlled breathing and a shift to the present helps us to lean in and respond to fear and trauma as opposed to reacting to it.
Creative Rest: There are so many forms of rest including creative rest which involves being surrounded by things that inspire and recharge us. By submerging in creative rest, we actually take the pressure and worry off ourselves to create.
Take Random Trips: Sometimes saying "fuck it" and hopping on a plane, or going on a last minute road trip is refreshing and good for your soul. If you're anything like me, you may deplete your energy by obsessing over planning and organizing. Just do what feels good and right.
Sleep Naked: If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and research the benefits of sleeping naked. I have always slept and walked around my house (and my friends' houses) naked. Not having to constantly cover up is liberating and allows the free-flow of energy and existence.
Do Scary Shit: We all have that one thing we want to to do or accomplish, but fear and self-sabotage prevent us from being great. I am not fearless and I will never say that I am because I am quite the opposite. I was diagnosed with anxiety back in 2005, although I've been managing it well, there is no cure for anxiety and it sometimes distracts me from the big picture and my purpose--- but I've learned to lean into my fears and discomforts and do things while scared, anyway. This is a win-win because I eventually overcome that fear and accomplish whatever scared me in the first place.
These are just several out of the many experiences that I design into my lifestyle, and that bring me purpose and abundance; a true curation of my authenticity. I choose to make each day and experience intentional even if it involves other people. I want to hear from ya'll, though! What are some radical wellness experiences, ideas, and concepts that lead your lifestyle? Do you also find it hard to connect with people who you've outgrown spiritually?
Love + Light,
